HAPPAWEEN!!!!

Happaween is Jaceanese for Happy Halloween. =0)

This has been an incredibly busy Halloween for Jace. Lots of activites and events for him to attend, which has been both exhasuting and LOTS of fun! I can say that I feel like I definately got my money's worth out of this year's costume. hehe. Yesterday was by far our busiest day.

We attended a Halloween party for Jace's class. As usual, the other kids decorated their cookies with frosting and sprinkles as Jace watched and gobbled his down. =0)

The kiddos got to go out to a mini pumpkin patch their teacher had set up in their playground area. Here is Jace picking out his pumpkin.

After the class party we picked up Logan and went to the pumpkin patch. Jace got to ride on a choo choo train....

and cart around pumpkins (and Logan) in a wagon.

Later in the evening we went to the AVCRAD (where Jeremy works) for their annual Halloween party. Jace was very excited to go and visit "Uncle Won" (Jeremy's coworker/friend Ron.) That is, until he saw that Uncle Won had transformed into a Michael Jackson zombie.

From the AVCRAD we headed over to my friend Melissa's house. She has a little party for the kiddos every year and they always have a blast. There was pumpkin rolling....

Posing for the Mommarazzis....

and some seriously fun pumpkin painting. We decided that Melissa is the "cool, artistic, express yourself" mom of our group. She just handed the kiddos some pumpkins and paints and let them go for it without even a second thought. I cringed as this....

...turned into this.....

She's a brave one, my friend Melissa! A brave one with an AMAZING mop, I might add!
Today we will be carving pumpkins, handing out candy, and doing a little trick or treating. So there will be EVEN MORE "Happaween" pictures tommorow. hehe.

Zoo Boo!

The Zoo has an after hours event where the kids can come trick or treat throughout the park, meet characters and animals, play midway games, and dance their little booties off. So much fun!

Jace getting his bucket ready for some treats.

Jace's first treat of the night. At this point he doesn't even really know what candy is (and I would like to keep it that way as long as I can manage) so we stuck to booths handing out prizes instead of sugar. =0) I must say that hearing him say "Trick or Treat" is ADORABLE!

Jace and Devyn watching the elephants. The zoo gives the animals treats for halloween as well. Some of them had pumpkins in their enclosures to play with and eat.

Dance, Dance, Dancin! There was live music and a little area set up for the kiddos to dance the night away. It was a sea of cuteness!

Jace playing the midway games. The sweet little girl running this game told me Jace could cheat if he wanted to. hehe.

Such fun! By the end of the night my little animal was all partied out and "Lion around" literally. He kept just laying down in the grass like he was just going to take a little nap. Then he would get up and run around some more. I had barely fastened him into his carseat before he was sound asleep. =0)

Baby Mine

Jace is getting to be such a big boy these days. I see it most in the way that he plays and pretends all the time. He really has such a cute imagination already! He immitates the things that I do alot and it is super cute. He loves cooking , which involves finding rocks in the yard, putting them in the dog bowls, and mixing them up with a big spoon. His FAVORITE thing to do, however, is to put his babies "nyny" (Night Night for those who aren't fluent in Jaceanese yet.) He gathers up as many babies as he can possibly hold and crawls into his rocking chair where he rocks them and sings to them. The first time I saw it I must admit I cried. It was so precious.

Here's a little video I took a couple of weeks ago when Jeremy's parents were visiting. Linda and I walked in the bedroom and found Jace rocking his babies to sleep and singing "Mommas NyNy Hong" (Mommy's nigh night song.) I sing the song Baby Mine (from Dumbo) to him every night and he tries his hardest to sing it, but can only manage to sing "Baaabe." Please forgive the talking in the background and the horrible editing. I was in a hurry to get this up for Jeremy to see.

Thank You!!!

Thank you so much to all of you who helped to support me in this year's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5k Walk!! It was an awesome and emotional morning while we gathered to encourage, remember, honor, and support those affected by this disease. The turnout was fantastic and the energy was great! We walked in memory of my good friend Tami's Aunt Betty, who was lost to Breast Cancer. Our team came in 6th place in all of the Central Valley, raising $1550.00 for this wonderful cause!!
