Sniffle Sniffle

Well, our little Bean has his first cold. We went to the Dr. today because they wanted to test him for RSV. No sign of that Thank God! He has a little cough and a SUPER stuffy nose. You'd never know it though by the way he is laughing and playing. I'm hoping that is a sign that he will be a good little patient in the future. So lots of rest and relaxation for Jace this week...maybe that will mean for mommy too!

One Small Step for Bath Time

Jace has always HAAAATED his bath time. He screams bloody murder from the time you turn on the water, until he is dressed and eating afterward. FINALLY this weekend he was actually not traumatized by his bath! Dare i say, he may have even enjoyed it! We are so excited, since batht time is one of those things we looked forward to so much while we were pregnant. Here are a couple of Jace's first happy bath!!

2 Months ALREADY!?

I just can't even believe that our little bean is already 2 months old today! Time really does fly when you are having fun, and apparently even faster when you dont sleep! He has grown so much over the last 2 months both physically and in his personality. He is a whopping 12 1/2 pounds now and growing more each day. He laughs and smiles more and more every day too. He is constantly looking around the room for something new to entertain him. Such an active little guy!

This weekend we decided that we were ready for some time with our friends so we decided to have a little last minute BBQ. Jace was the hit of the day. He had a blast hanginig out with all his honorary aunties and uncles and they couldnt get enough of him. After all the excitement of the day we had a wonderfully restfull night. Jace was POOPED! We really enjoy all of our time with him and it is great knowing that he brings joy to so many others as well.

Happy Valentine's Day!!! Lots of love from our family to yours on this very special day!!

CRASH!

Jace has decided that sleeping during the day just isn't for him. From the time he gets up at around 8 in the morning he is a WILD CHILD until 2 or 3 in the afternoon! He fights going to sleep as hard as any baby could. While he is awake he is a wiggley little worm. He is full of laughs and smiles, but does need a new game or song every 5 minutes or so. Our life has become a crazy musical with songs about absolutely everything we do, from changing a diaper to looking at the ceiling fan. Mommy and Daddy can make a song up about anything! It seems to make him happy, even if he thinks his parents are loons. The funny thing about this new found love of being awake is that when he loses his battle, he is out like a light. He literally goes from playing and fighting sleep like a champ to being crashed out completely in a nanosecond. This picture was taken maybe 3 seconds after he was awake and playing.

Livin the Good Life

I swear he was knocked out in his bassinet like this for a good 45 minutes. The second I grab my camera to catch his cute little pose he opens his eyes. That's ok, turned out super cute anway. hehe.

6 week checkup

Well, Jace had his 6 week checkup yesterday and is growing like a weed still. He is up to 9lbs 9oz and 21.5inches!!! The Doc says we have a track star on our hands and not a linebacker. (darnit, I was looking forward to being a Rams Mommy). He should be tall and thin like daddy and his uncles were. No Bonvini chubby gene here. lol! Unfortunately Jace has Acid Reflux, which is not much fun for him. We are in the midst of trying to get him on a medicine that works and that the insurance will pay for. In the meantime he seems to not be too badly affected by it. He cries a little when it flares up, but is calmed down quickly when mommy gets him laughing.
