A BEARY Happy Birthday to Our Buddy Devin

This morning we got to go to Build A Bear for Jace's friend Devin's 2nd birthday!! I simply CANNOT believe that the 2nd birthdays are already starting for Jace and his buddies! I was a little afraid of what 4 almost 2 year olds would do to a Build A Bear Workshop, but they had a great time. Each kiddo got to pick out there very own Build A Bear. Jace picked out a monkey of course! The Birthday Helper asked him what the monkey's name was for his birth certificate and Jace told her it was "KeyKey Bur"! KeyKey Bur translates to Monkey Bear in Jaceanese. I love it!

OF COURSE they ran wild around the store like they owned the place!

Future SUPER Dads in training!

Jace running the Stuffing Machine...

...and registering his bear online. (Ok, pressing random buttons.)

Then it was on to bathing their bears...

So fun to watch our babies taking care of their own little babies!!

Happy Birthday Devin! We had a blast at your BEARY fun party!!

Wild, Wet, Fun!!

Yesterday my friend Melissa and I took the kiddos to the water park here in town. I really didn't expect it to be NEARLY as exciting for them as it was. They had an absolute blast!! Jace played his little heart out and loved every second of it. He's such a fishy!

And my favorite part of the water park.....

A child so completely exhausted he actually FELL ASLEEP swimming in the wave pool! I was holding him facing away from me while the waves crashed against us and a woman turned to me and said "You know your child is asleep right?" I could not believe it! He was completely passed out, snoring and all! That was the point at which I decided we could safely call it a day. Jace was in bed by 6 and didn't wake up until 7:30 this morning, at which point he told me "Go pool!" I think he had a good time. =0)

Nonna Time!

Lat week Nonna got to take some vacation and we took advantage by spending a day at Jace's favortie place...THE ZOO! =P

This Orangutan climbed up the fence to play with us. She hung out with us for quite some time, which Jace got a big kick out of.

Nonna showing Jace one of the "amals" (Jace's word for Animals)

Watching Jace's favorite Camel. The zookeeper came out and fed him/her while we were watching and Jace got so excited that the zookeeper decided to give the Camel a bath just so Jace could watch. Too cute!

In the petting zoo.

MAMAW!

Jace's Great Grandma Myrt came to visit us this weekend and we are so glad that she did! Jace had such a fun time with his "Mamaw" as he has dubbed her.

Jace loves his Mamaw! She's pretty crazy about him too!

Jace getting tickles, which he loves! When you stop tickeling him he asks for more. hehe.

Jace smelling the pretty flower that Mamaw brought for him. He even learned to say flower while she was here.

And the beautiful flowers that Mommy got were an extra special surprise!

On a side note, this weekend proved to be a reason to celebrate within the Hawkins home! After numorous failed attempts at trying to get Jace to sleep in his own bed, we have had a breakthrough. In fact, we have had better than a breakthrough, we have had a complete and total turn around. Jace now WANTS to sleep in his bed, puts himself to sleep, AND sleeps through the night!!!!! All on his own!! Apparently he just needed to make the change in his own time. Let me tell you, I am incredibly excited! I now get to cuddle my honey then kiss him and tuck him into his own bed, and enjoy some quiet time all to myself! That's major!!
