Play Time With Uncle

The Adventures of an 8 Month Old...

Jace is more active than ever these days. This kiddo has like an ENDLESS supply of energy! He is now chattering up a storm and can officially say BaBa, Mom, WaWa, and Hera. Hera is what he calls both the dogs and it often comes out Herara, but it is super cute none the less. He is more fun than ever and he loves nothing more than laughing and making other people laugh. I just can't believe how fast he is growing up! Part of me wishes I could press a pause button, but he would have none of it! He is ready to live his big boy life to it's fullest, which apparently includes..

Fun with Uncle Chrstopher

Christopher finally finished "Jace's Pool" and we got to go over and play in it yesterday. Of course Jace had a blast. Christopher says all the hard work was made worth it by Jace's excitement to be swimming at Uncle's house. Awww.

Today was Jace's 8 month check up. He weighs 20.1 lbs and is 27 3/4 in. long Not too much growth this last couple months, but his activity level is out of control, so that is normal. He is a busy little bee to say the very least! Hope everyone is having a Happy Monday!

Going My Way??

How cute is this floaty!? Jace absolutely LOVED cruising around the pool in his new set of "wheels." It even adds some sun protection too! Bonus!

Big Boy Fun

Jace loves nothing more than terrorizing poor Sadie. He follows her all around the house desperate to pet her and pull on her. I think she secretly loves it though. She never even so much as makes a peep. They are buds.


Jace LOVES his food. He isn't quite ready to feed himself, but he sure has fun trying.



Hope everyone is enjoying their week! Things are pretty uneventful in the Hawkins household. We are just doing the countdown to Daddy coming home. CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Correction...

As of this morning the tooth count is up to 4!!! Please know that I have been desperately trying to photograph these little chompers. Jace has been less than cooperative. He absolutely positively does not want me to get a picture of his teeth. I've got some sneaky ideas, but so far nothing has panned out. I'll be sure to post pictures just as soon as I can get some!

7 1/2 Months!!

I can't believe Jace is only a couple weeks from being 8 months old!! I also can't believe what a difference there is between Jace at 6 months and Jace at 7 months. I really feel like he went from a sweet little baby to an energetic, feisty little boy overnight! He has three teeth now, which he uses to eat as much food as he can get his hands on. He is crawling EVERYWHERE and literally cannot sit still longer than 5 seconds. He is also now pulling himself up on the furniture and making attempts at walking while holding onto things. This is a baby on the move! He suddenly knows EXACTLY what he wants and he doesnt want to wait around for it either. Yesterday, I even got to witness his very first fit. Which was amusing and terrifying all at once. I am finding myself more and more concerned that all of this spunk and energy is going to be a toddler very soon. I truly dont know how I am going to keep up. I apologize again for the time between blogs. All of Jace's new found energy has given him the unfortunate ability to bounce around this house with little to no sleep required. Coffee and baby laughs are all that fuel me these days. My blogging time has suffered greatly. Here are a few shots from this last week and a half....

Nonna has been dying for this picture. When Jace is feeling mellow he gets his little binky and puts his hand on his face like this. He does this every time he is tired. It is so funny. This is Jace watching TV with Uncle Christopher. He babysat him all by himself I might add!


Another "Jace will crash anywhere" picture. He was playing with his toys and crawling around one minute and sound asleep on the floor the next.


Last, but not least.....THIS is what happens when you tell Uncle Christopher that he can buy Jace a pool. The man is crazy! He tells me he wants to get a pool for Jace to swim in at his house. I'm thinking a kiddie pool from Target or something, SURE! Christopher goes out and buys a pool as big as his backyard, rents a Bobcat, and spends three weeks of back breaking labor putting it into the ground. All "for Jace." Hahaha! Only MY crazy brother!!
